Strategy Name: Close the Curtain. Students have practiced using this strategy to find all the factors of a number. The first example shows the students finding all the factors for the number 12. Students took one step further and helped me find the common factors of 14 and 20.

Strategy Name: RUMORS. Students are very familiar with using the RUMORS strategy to
help guide their thinking during any problem solving situation in math. Students will also incorporate the KWC table to help organize the information given to them.
